Conservation Course in Archaeology (CCA) 2013 is a collaboration between University of Delaware (UD), Delaware and Centro di Conservazione Archeologica (CCA) – Roma. The course took place between the 10th and the 30th of June 2013, and it was attended by fourteen undergraduate students from the Bachelor of Arts in Art Conservation at University of Delaware. The aim of the program, designed under the supervision of Dr. Roberto Nardi, was introducing the principles of conservation of cultural heritage. This aim was pursued through theoretical lectures, hands-on experience with original Roman artifacts, visits to archaeological sites, and practical seminars on traditional materials and technology. The course was held in CCA’s headquarters at the Convento di San Nicola in Belmonte in Sabina, and in the roman villa of Sant’Imbenia, Alghero.
