The subject of the protection of the archaeological heritage is a very relevant and important topic of discussion. Unfortunately the current interest and its importance do not come from the recognition of the cultural, social and economic value, and even less from examples of good management, but rather from the lack of attention that is given to the archaeological monuments by the administrators and the professionals and from the low level of scientific discussion found on the subject. The seriousness of the problem is also underlined by the level of scientific debate on this subject: very little if not inexistent. This paper presents some cases of well managed interventions and good practice which represents a powerful instrument to sustain the methodological and technical application of the conservation of archaeological structures.
