This paper describes and comments on the Mosaic Conservation Course (MCC) 2010–2016, an initiative designed in response to the growing need to develop increased capacities for the conservation and management of mosaic heritage, whether in situ or in museums. This program, organized by CCA-Rome is part of MOSAIKON, a collaborative initiative of the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), the Getty Foundation, the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property in Rome (ICCROM), and the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM).
