In 1990, at the request of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) regional office for South America, Roberto Nardi held the first of two courses on the restoration and conservation of ceramics.
The course was addressed to a group of conservators from public museums in Peru.
Didactic activities – both theoretical and practical – were carried out in the laboratories of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Lima.
The topics covered were: restoration techniques for archaeological ceramics; setting up and managing storage facilities; techniques of preventive conservation for ceramics during excavation.
