About this lecture
In the frame of the 13th Conference of the ICCM Foundation, International Committee for the Conservation of, Mosaics, held in Barcelona, October 15-20, 2017, Roberto Nardi retraced the history of the last 40 years of mosaic conservation, underlining the role played by ICCM in the profession’s evolution. From the times of secret recipes, of individual craftsmen, of no planning, of no documentation, of lifting pavements, of concrete and gypsum supports, of no communication, today great changes have emerged in the profession. The ICCM President presentation tried to give a picture of the situation today and to anticipate the direction where the profession is going in the near future.
