About this lecture
On May 6th, in the occasion of the Annual Open Meeting of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Charles K. Williams II, Director Emeritus of Corinth Excavations and Roberto Nardi, Director of CCA, presented the on-going conservation project of the wall paintings recovered from Ancient Corinth in the area East of the Theatre.
Mr. Williams, who excavated the frescoes in the 1990s-1980s, described the findings introducing the audience to the different types and chronology of frescoes recovered from the site.
Roberto Nardi, with a lecture titled “Conservation in Progress: The Wall Paintings of Ancient Corinth”, presented the results of the first two years of work.
