The article presents three case studies where planning is applied to three restoration projects. The human factor is considered as one of the main factors of deterioration of cultural heritage, especially when it entails lack of organization. On the opposite hand, a planning approach is one of the best, and with no doubt more effective, tool of preventive conservation. The planning methods presented in this article range from a simple flow-chart of the different project phases to the implementation of an computer system in managing the project.
